About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Banking Solicitor to join our Debt Finance team at Capital Law Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice on a range of debt finance matters, including acquisition finance, development finance, and asset-based lending.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside senior lawyers to provide specialist advice on debt finance matters
  • Handle your own banking and finance matters, including acquisition finance, development finance, and asset-based lending
  • Advise on all aspects of law for lenders and borrowers, including public and private sector organisations
  • Develop existing client relationships and build your own contacts, client base, and skills
  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct and comply with procedures and requirements set by the SRA
Requirements
  • 2-5 years PQE with experience within a reputable banking and finance team
  • Good range of both transactional and general banking experience
  • Ability to deal with transactions from instruction through to post-completion matters
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, clear written presentation, strong organisational skills, good time management, good initiative, and problem-solving ability
  • Team-focused with a flexible and collaborative approach to working with others, but also able to work alone
  • Capable of working effectively under pressure and using own initiative to tackle tough decisions and present innovative ways to help clients
