About the Role:

Sussex Housing and Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks in designated areas, including residents' rooms, corridors, and communal spaces, to a high standard.
  • Ensure furniture, fittings, and equipment are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
  • Respect residents' personal belongings and contribute to their upkeep and cleaning.
  • Ensure residents' safety while carrying out cleaning tasks.

Requirements:

  • Ability to recognize residents' rooms and belongings as personal and private.
  • Demonstrate safe practice at all times.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Maintain a polite and courteous manner towards residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Awareness of health and safety and manual handling procedures.

Working Hours:

30 hours per week, including five shifts per week, including alternate weekends.
