As a skilled Cloud Native Developer at Amber Labs, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure solutions for our central government digital transformation project. Our ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud-native application development, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking an experienced developer to build cloud-native applications using Java and the Spring Framework (or equivalent), adhering to modern software engineering practices.
  • The successful candidate will design and implement microservices-based architectures using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
  • Applying CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation) and event-sourcing patterns to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions is essential.
  • This role requires developing and deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes, optimizing for scalability and resilience.
  • You will design, deploy, and manage applications in AWS or Azure environments, with a preference for AWS.
  • Building and maintaining continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines to enable automated testing, deployment, and monitoring is crucial.
Requirements:
  • A strong background in Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Micronaut, or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration is necessary.
  • In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture and related design patterns is essential.
  • Expertise in AWS or Azure, with a preference for AWS services like ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc. is required.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline is necessary.
  • Practical knowledge of event-sourcing and CQRS patterns for distributed systems is required.
  • An understanding of Agile and DevOps principles is also required.
