Maintenance Engineer Apprentice

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our team at Normanton. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance support for the site, covering absence from work of shift maintenance technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide skilled labour to repair facilities, fabric problems, and machinery.
2. Complete continuous improvement activities and preventative maintenance checks.
3. Install and test new equipment as required.
4. Report any issues with facilities, building fabric, and equipment via the reporting system.
5. Repair facilities, fabric, and production equipment in a safe and timely manner.

Requirements:

1. Relevant mechanical qualifications to demonstrate mechanical competence.
2. Experience of working in a busy manufacturing environment.
3. Good working knowledge of Health & Safety.
4. Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work both under instruction and on own initiative.
5. Desire to learn and self-drive to promote an ethos of continual improvement.
