We are seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Clock View Hospital in Liverpool. As a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to older adults who require specialist inpatient care.
Main Responsibilities- You will lead the inpatient multidisciplinary team on Irwell ward, providing clinical care to service users admitted from the community.
- Complete assessments and formulate treatment plans for new admissions, working closely with other members of the team.
- Manage patients detained under the Mental Health Act, requiring a sound knowledge of MHA law.
- Fulfillment of GMC registration requirements, including Specialist Register of the General Medical Council or eligibility within 6 months of CCST/CCT or equivalent in Old Age Psychiatry.
- Section 12 (2) Approval and Approved Clinician Status or demonstrated ability to gain approval.
- Good standing with GMC regarding warnings and conditions on practice.
