Job Title: Senior Public Affairs Manager

Job Summary:

The Advocate Group is proud to be partnered with a globally leading Consumer Goods business to support the search for a key hire at their HQ. If you're an experienced Public Affairs professional, with time worked in the Food and Beverage industry, then we would love to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility to support the implementation of the Institutional Affairs Programme in the UK & Ireland.
  • Manage all activities to maintain and enhance strategy-focused, result-orientated Government relations at a regional and local level.
  • Interaction and negotiation with the Government on specific issues/topics and Government policy/regulations advocacy.
  • Provide expert guidance on public policies relating to two or more of the following: Health & Nutrition, Responsible Marketing, Sustainability, Access to Markets & Trade.

Requirements:

  • Expertise on public policies relating to Health & Nutrition in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Experience in a similar role in in-house/government/trade/agency.
  • Previous time spent working with MPs & Politicians.
  • Knowledgeable and credible, able to command trust and respect from peers.
  • Able to work without bias, putting the interests of the business as first priority.
