Senior Project Engineer for Rail and Telecommunications

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our consult business, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex rail and telecommunications projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with experience in managing outside and third-party activities and mitigating risks. You will work closely with our project teams to ensure the safe delivery of projects, meeting cost, time, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of engineering specifications, safety procedures, and risk assessments
  • Manage the implementation of network rail engineering-driven safety requirements
  • Oversee the mitigation of engineering and safety risks associated with proposed and real-time outside and third-party activities
  • Develop and implement the concept of requirements engineering on applicable schemes
  • Review and assess all outside and third-party schemes for compliance with current legislation

Requirements:

  • Membership of a relevant professional body working towards incorporated or chartered status
  • Knowledge of project management and risk assessment techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience
