We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our Plant and Tool division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving performance, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a high-performing depot team to drive revenue growth and improve customer satisfaction
- Manage the profit centre and influence all aspects of depot operations, including staff recruitment, equipment purchasing, and supply chain management
- Conduct quality audits and customer visits to ensure customer expectations are met
- Identify and provide solutions for potential challenges within the workplace
Requirements:
- Significant experience in an operational management role, preferably in the construction/hire industry
- Understanding of Plant and Tool equipment, hire products, and the customer base in the Leeds area
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop a high-performing team
- Previous experience and accountability for the profit and loss of business operations
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office packages, including Excel and Word
- Full UK driving licence
