Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team at our Wilshire depot. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the service and repair of a wide variety of vehicles, including HGVs, refuse vehicles, skip-loaders, tippers, trucks, and roll-on roll-off vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections on HGVs to identify any faults or defects.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and perform repairs as necessary.
  • Carry out servicing and preventative maintenance tasks according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Provide assistance and support to other members of the workshop team as required.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience as an HGV technician, Workshop Engineer, or similar role with an understanding of the HGV industry.
  • HGV Technical qualification - NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent.
  • Class 2 licence preferred.
  • Experience in the Waste/Recycling industry desirable.
