Audit and Accounts Senior Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for leading audits from planning to completion, preparing statutory accounts, and building strong relationships with clients.

About the Role
  • Lead audits for Limited companies, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Prepare and finalise accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited companies, including tax computations and VAT returns.
  • Supervise junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and development.
  • Build trusted client relationships, acting as their 'go-to' person for audit and accounts services.
  • Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Work directly with senior managers to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met.

Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with previous experience in practice.
  • AAT qualified and studying towards ACA/ACCA or with a desire to begin study.
  • Experience leading audits from planning to completion.
  • Adept at the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • A hands-on team player who can also work autonomously.
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
  • Good awareness of current affairs and solid commercial acumen.
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver.
