Job Title: Autism Care Professional

Location: Lanchester, Durham

Salary: £13 per hour (up to 35 hours a week)

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a young man with autism and severe disabilities in a safe and supportive environment. As an Autism Care Professional, you will use a positive behaviour support framework to promote his independence and well-being.

The role involves supporting daily life and safety, managing medical needs such as epilepsy and food allergies, and encouraging community and home activities like swimming, walking, and forest school. You will also help develop communication skills, manage emotions and behaviour using a behaviour support plan, and assist with personal care while preserving dignity.

To be successful in this role, you should have a good standard of education and possess desirable skills and qualifications such as Positive Behaviour Support, Safeguarding, Autism, and Learning Disabilities. Physical fitness for outdoor activities is also essential.

We are looking for someone with a positive and flexible attitude who enjoys outdoor activities.
