Job Description:

The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing Alco Valves Group's market position and driving revenue growth. This involves building key customer and distributor relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing deals, and maintaining a deep understanding of the oil and gas, petrochemical, and renewables markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for potential new clients and convert this into increased business.
  • Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities by expanding into new geographic areas.
  • Identify new distribution partners and channels to successfully market Alco Valves Group products.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company practice leaders/principals.
  • Plan approaches and pitches, working with the internal team to develop proposals that meet the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Present an image that mirrors that of the client.
  • Develop end user approvals within the area of coverage and approved manufacturers lists.
  • Develop a network of distributors and agents.

Working Conditions:

The role is ideal for a motivated candidate with a desire to enhance their skills in a rapidly developing business. The role is UK-based and will require international travel. The salary is negotiable depending on experience, and the working hours are 38.5 hours per week, with additional hours required as business circumstances dictate. Benefits include 33 days annual leave, a personal pension, and a healthcare plan after completing 6 months of probation.
