Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced Boiler Maintenance Engineer to join our team as an Industrial Steam System Technician. In this role, you'll be responsible for the installation, repair, and commissioning of industrial steam and hot water boiler systems across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, Repair, and Commission: Install, repair, and commission industrial steam and hot water boiler systems, ensuring they meet safety and efficiency standards.
  • Engineering Support: Provide expert engineering support for maintenance tasks, including diagnosing faults and recommending solutions.
  • Maintenance and Overhaul: Overhaul pressure system valves, steam traps, heat exchangers, and fixtures both on-site and in our modern workshop.
  • Inspections and Testing: Conduct surveys and service inspections on steam systems, preparing equipment for non-destructive testing.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean and maintain boiler tubes and biomass systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor apprentices and colleagues, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
  • Customer Relationships: Build strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities and ensuring their needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree: Hold an engineering degree (HNC or higher) or equivalent.
  • Gas Qualifications: Ideally hold gas qualifications (COCPI1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A) or 18th Edition Electrical.
  • Experience: Have experience with steam, hot water, and thermal oil boilers.
  • Licenses and Certificates: Possess a full driving license and be willing to travel across Scotland, including overnight stays.
  • Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to customer service.
