Job Title: Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist - LSA - TA - SEN

The School: Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist- LSA - TA - SEN - ASD - Autism

This is an ideal opportunity for an aspiring speech and language therapist to work with a school that provides support for primary and secondary aged pupils who have a wide range of complex needs associated with Autism. All students that attend the school have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP), which details their specific needs in terms of the care, and support they can access.

The school is set on idyllic grounds and provides a king and caring curriculum for its pupils. The curriculum focusses on developing key aspects of each child such as independency skills, social skills and communication as well as physical and creative development. Due to the schools location and outstanding facilities, they are able to offer activities such as swimming and horse riding. The school is also equipped with a large sensory room and soft play area.

The school is graded as 'good' by Ofsted with pupil progress and achievement 'outstanding' across the school. You will be joining a school environment that is made up of happy students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with pupils who have complex needs associated with Autism
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support system
  • Provide support and guidance to pupils in developing their communication and social skills

Requirements:

  • Aspiring speech and language therapist with a passion for working with pupils with complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
  • Knowledge of Autism and its impact on communication and social skills
