We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our award-winning nursery in Kent. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the nursery and providing high-quality care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nursery Manager in their absence, ensuring consistent care and education across all age groups.
  • Manage the nursery team, ensuring correct staff-to-child ratios are met at all times.
  • Oversee the weekly staff rota and assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and training.
  • Support the delivery of a creative and engaging early years curriculum that meets the needs of each individual child.
  • Promote positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication and involvement in their child's progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous leadership or team management experience within an Early Years setting.
  • Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
  • Strong understanding of nursery administration, including staffing and rota management.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and early childhood education standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies.

This is a 12-month FTC role with a pro rata salary of £28,000 to £33,000 plus competitive benefits.
