About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Europe, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK or Brussels, Belgium. As a key member of our offshore engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering structural engineering consultancy services, including geotechnical assessment and structural analysis, to ensure quality, timeliness, and budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery of structural engineering consultancy services, ensuring quality, completion on time, and within budget, and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Carrying out engineering activities, such as geotechnical assessment and structural analysis, identifying the correct methodologies, software, and work planning requirements.
  • Providing technical advice in response to internal/external queries related to design, installation, and operations of anchoring systems.
  • Preparing responses to RFQ/ITT for engineering consultancy services.
  • Developing the technical capability and expertise of the company and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in industry codes and standards on structural anchor and mooring systems design.
Requirements
  • MEng in a relevant Engineering discipline (Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the offshore energy industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of design and operation of offshore mooring systems/anchors/foundations, structural analysis and design for offshore/subsea structures, geotechnical assessment/analysis for offshore/subsea foundations, and understanding of recognised UK and International quality standards.
  • Competent user of engineering software packages, including creation and reviewing of models.
  • Proven record of producing high-quality outputs and work practices.
  • Willingness to continue learning and developing new technical knowledge and business acumen.
  • Effective management of own work in terms of quality, timescales, utilisation, and invoicing.
  • Good communication skills, initiative, and team work.
