Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out risk-based reviews, providing advice on risk and control issues, and preparing audit reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial regulations and internal audit principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct risk-based reviews to identify areas of improvement
  • Provide advice on risk and control issues to management
  • Prepare audit reports and present findings to management
  • Perform audit tests and evaluate results within budget
  • Identify key risks and controls in various systems
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

Requirements:
  • Full qualification in accounting (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CIPFA)
  • Internal audit experience
  • Local government knowledge and understanding of financial regulations
  • Strong report writing skills and good communication skills
  • Adept in using financial and non-financial systems
