About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Crisis Support Worker to join our team at the Bradford Hub, working as part of a dynamic team to deliver crisis support services to individuals in need. As a Crisis Support Worker, you will provide one-to-one crisis support to clients over the telephone or face-to-face, offering practical assistance to help them regain control over their lives and their own unique recovery process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-to-one crisis support to clients, providing emotional support and practical assistance to help them manage their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a comprehensive support service, including outreach support, community-based crisis/wellbeing cafes, and in-reach provision.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their individual needs and circumstances, and providing tailored support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service plans, working closely with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in crisis support and mental health.
Requirements
  • Experience of directly supporting people with mental health difficulties within a mental health service or setting.
  • Ability to work with vulnerable individuals, managing challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a passion for delivering high-quality support services.
