Job Title: Construction Project Manager

A rewarding opportunity to join Lidl in Deutschland as a skilled Construction Project Manager, where you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of our stores across the UK. Your key tasks will include tendering, appointing and managing construction projects at a national level, building and maintaining effective working relationships with external contractors, consultants and key contacts, and monitoring quality through KPI reporting and site visits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tendering, appointing and managing construction projects at a national level.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with external contractors, consultants and key contacts.
  • Liaising with the stores design team to ensure collaborative development and efficient team working.
  • Monitoring quality of appointed national projects through KPI reporting and site visits
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for cost savings and additional cost mitigation
  • Supporting regional teams in the execution of projects through regular meetings, reports and guidance to colleagues.
  • Manage supplier agreements and conduct regular reviews of operating procedures making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:
  • A graduate in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Self-motivated and ambitious to develop and progress their career
  • Exposure to contract management, pre-construction phase or site experience desirable but not essential
  • Sound commercial knowledge with an excellent eye for detail
  • The ability to project manage multiple projects concurrently and handle conflicting deadlines
  • Proven negotiation, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Clear and effective communication skills

  • A competitive salary starting from £49,500 - £66,000 per annum (dependent on experience) with 35 days' holiday per year (pro rata).
