About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our South London Division. As a key member of our Construction team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Motivate and support Site Managers to improve performance and achieve project goals.
  • Control preliminary costs and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Plan and programme work methods and build sequences for sites of responsibility.
  • Regularly visit sites and attend sub-contract meetings to ensure programme dates are met.
  • Inspect quality of work and provide advice and support to Site Managers as required.
  • Ensure costs are controlled efficiently and resources are used effectively.
  • Keep up to date with customer care issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Experience of working as a Senior Site Manager or Construction/Contracts Manager in a high volume house builder.
  • Experience of health and safety obligations, building legislation, and NHBC standards.
  • Relevant CSCS card, SMSTS certificate, and Construction Management Level 4+ apprenticeship (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to plan and programme work methods and build sequences for sites.
  • Good administration skills and ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient IT skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
