Job Title: Purchase Ledger Assistant

About the Role:

The Purchase Ledger Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting and cost control. This position will be responsible for processing purchase invoices, resolving queries, and maintaining supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase invoices and credit card statements in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Resolve purchase invoice queries and discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and ensure outstanding purchase authorisations are obtained.
  • Review and maintain purchase ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support the team.

Requirements:

  • Operational experience in a retail environment, preferably with multi-site operations.
  • Understanding of systems and purchase ledger controls, with a working knowledge of purchase order and invoice processing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with learning new software systems.
  • Fluent in English and self-motivated with a proactive approach.
