Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced English for Academic Purposes (EAP) tutor to join our team at Coventry University in Hainan, China.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering EAP modules to students on Engineering and Arts & Humanities programmes at Undergraduate, Masters, and PhD level.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching large groups of learners
  • Using a VLE such as Moodle to support teaching
  • Using Microsoft Teams for teaching remotely
  • Developing and delivering lesson plans
  • Assessing student progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Substantial previous EAP teaching experience
  • Experience of teaching large groups of learners
  • Fluent or near-fluent speaker (IELTS 8.0 or above) standard of written and spoken English
  • Undergraduate degree
  • CELTA, Trinity Cert TESOL or equivalent
  • Diploma level qualification and/or Masters in a relevant subject
