At NTT DATA Services, we seek an experienced Z/OS System Programmer to work on major projects based on client sites. This role involves upgrading and supporting the z/OS operating system and ISV products, mainly from IBM and Computer Associates (CA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the other Engineering teams to ensure that the systems are built to be stable, available, up to date, and running as effectively and efficiently as possible.
  • Work closely with the other Engineering teams to ensure that the systems are built to be stable, available, up to date, and running as effectively and efficiently as possible.
  • Upgrade and support the z/OS operating system and ISV products, mainly from IBM and Computer Associates (CA).

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will ideally have more than ten years of z/OS systems programming experience.
  • Should have very strong Parallel Sysplex skills.
  • Extensive experience of installing many (not just a few) IBM and CA products.
  • Should have ideally worked in a Bank or organisations with large installations.
  • Should be confident, able to work independently and start contributing from day one.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be a true team player.
  • Will need to provide off hours support for the implementation of software changes, when required.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; ACF2 Security tool /GDPS/ RACF/ Assembler/ Rexx/ /RMF/SMF/SAS.
