Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom Philosophy Education Full time

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs at a specialist SEMH Primary school in Norfolk.

The Role

As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will be working on a 1 to 1 and small group basis with pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school settings. You will need to be committed to improving the lives of those affected by emotional trauma or mental health.

Our ideal candidate will have a background in youth work or previous experience in a Primary Behaviour Support role, with the ability to provide support whilst maintaining high expectations. You will need to have a positive and resilient approach with the ability to build relationships and de-escalate situations.

The School

The school is part of a trust of Specialist Schools in London and is specifically for primary aged children in the borough who have suffered trauma within their young lives. The school offers training and development for all their staff.

We have a policy to respond to all applications within three working days. However, because of the volume of applications, we are sometimes unable to reply to individual enquiries.
