Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Nursery and Infant School in a supportive and friendly working environment.

About the Role:
  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 2.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement learning activities that meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
  • Lead small group interventions and provide one-to-one support to pupils, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Assist in the assessment and monitoring of pupils' progress, providing feedback and contributing to their individual learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and effective learning.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all pupils, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the teaching staff in planning and delivering lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.

Requirements:
  • Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting, particularly in EYFS and KS1.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and KS1 teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
