About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as an External Examiner for our BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science (Adult) Apprenticeship programme at the University of Staffordshire.

The appointed examiner will be responsible for overseeing the assessment and examination process, ensuring that student work is rigorously moderated and externally examined to meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve assessments and examination papers to ensure alignment with programmatic outcomes and academic standards.
  • Sample student work from various modules, including practice documents, to verify the quality of learning and assessment practices.
  • Confirm marks are fully moderated, agreed upon, and externally examined to guarantee academic integrity.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in pre-registration paramedic science education, particularly within the apprenticeship Adult Field, and must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

A salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum is offered for this four-year term position, reflecting the high level of expertise required.
