Job Title: Cardiac Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiac Specialist Nurse to join our team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Cardiac Services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient-centered care, including medication optimization, symptom management, and education to improve quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to promote health and well-being.
  • Provide care for individuals requiring management of their heart failure, including support in their own homes, community clinics, cardiac venues, and virtual appointments.
Requirements:
  • Current NMC Level 1 Registration
  • Specialist Cardiac qualification, i.e., Caledonian course or equivalent
  • Non-medical Prescribing Course (V300)
  • Immediate Life Support (ILS) trained
  • Significant experience of working within a cardiac environment
  • Understanding of the needs of socially and culturally excluded groups
  • Experience and understanding of the NHS and healthcare systems
Desirable:
  • Significant experience in delivering community-based cardiac care
