Dispensary Technician

Role Overview:

The Trafford & Stockport College Group is seeking a Dispensary Technician to join the Hair and Beauty team. This role will provide support to the department, contributing to the effective and efficient operation of its activities.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient running of the department's laundry, including washing, drying, and pressing/ironing. They will also assist in preparing rooms for classes, dispensing materials and items of laundry, and responding to enquiries from students and teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Efficiently manage the department's laundry, ensuring it is clean and well-maintained.
2. Assist in preparing rooms for classes, ensuring they are ready for students.
3. Dispense materials and items of laundry as required.
4. Respond to enquiries from students and teaching staff in a professional and courteous manner.
5. Monitor and control stock levels in the laundry, ensuring they are adequate for the department's needs.
6. Assist in the cleaning of materials, equipment, and work surfaces as required.
7. Ensure equipment is well-maintained, chemicals are dispensed in accordance with COSHH regulations, and liaise closely with the Health & Safety Advisor.
8. Support and comply with the College's risk management audit requirements.
