We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Language Acquisition Teacher to join our dedicated faculty at a prestigious international school in London.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in empowering students to develop their English language skills and flourish within an International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP) English Language Acquisition curriculum to students in Grades 6 to 12.
- Design and implement a school-based English Language Development (ELD) program for students in Grades 6 to 8.
- Prepare and mark a wide range of assessments following MYP and DP protocols.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students, including those for whom English may not be their first language.
- Teach and promote English language and culture using a range of student-centered teaching strategies, resources, and technology.
- Embed IB approaches to learning in the curriculum delivery.
- Collaborate with the Chair of English and other faculty members to establish interdisciplinary links.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest language teaching advancements.
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- International Baccalaureate curriculum experience.
- Fluency in both verbal and written English.
- Ability to lead and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and ICT skills.
- Proactive and solution-oriented.
