Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with children with Special Educational Needs in primary schools across Southwark. As a recent Psychology graduate, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children with diverse needs.

About the Role

This rewarding position involves working directly with children who require additional support, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other developmental needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
  • Fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages children to learn and grow.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A strong interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and a good understanding of SEN conditions.
  • Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills to build trust and rapport with children who have diverse needs.
  • Knowledge of behavioral management strategies and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
