Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant in a Secondary School
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary School in Havering. This full-time contract role is perfect for someone who wants to make a positive impact on students' learning and development.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide in-class support to students, helping them to engage with the curriculum and reach their full potential. You will work closely with teachers to adapt learning materials, support student progress, and foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to students, assisting with academic tasks and learning activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Support individual students or small groups, adapting learning materials to suit diverse needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and staff.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of classroom support strategies and how to assist students with different learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents.
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
