Senior Psychiatrist in Eating Disorders

We are looking for an experienced Adult Mental Health Consultant to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work with a highly experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to adults with eating disorders.
The successful candidate will have overall clinical responsibility for the management of this client group, overseeing care and treatment plans and delegating tasks to other members of the team. As part of our experienced mental health community service, you will focus on early intervention and equipping individuals with the necessary skills for community living.
We offer a competitive annual salary of £110,000 - £153,000, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including 33 days' annual leave (pro-rata) and career development opportunities. The role is situated in Ty Einon, Gorseinon, which is conveniently located for those living in Swansea, Cardiff, West Wales, Neath, Port Talbot, Bridgend, and surrounding areas. We also offer access to excellent CPD opportunities and a vibrant academic programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective care and treatment plans for adults with eating disorders
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve high-quality patient outcomes
- Provide teaching and training to postgraduate medical staff
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team
Requirements:
- MRC Psych or equivalent qualification
- Experience working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Leadership skills and ability to take a lead role in clinical development
