Job Description:

This is a full-time, challenging role requiring a skilled and experienced professional to oversee the strategic direction and delivery of our research portfolio in cardiovascular epidemiology.

The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, ability to inspire and guide a dedicated research coordination team, strong communication and relationship-building experience engaging with diverse stakeholders (internal, national and international). They will be responsible for designing and directing the department's portfolio of studies and trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of strategic plans for research studies and trials
  • Provide guidance and support to study teams to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Budget management and resource allocation for research projects
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify new research opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards

About the Role:

This position offers a competitive salary of approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The postholder will be based at the Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Heart & Lung Research Institute on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
