Job OverviewWe are currently seeking a volunteer to fill the role of Welcome and Reception Recovery Volunteer at our NRP Blyth location. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the community while gaining valuable experience and skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a welcoming meet and greet service to people attending NRP
- Answer internal and external phone calls and transfer them to team members as needed
- Replenish leaflets and resources
- Create and maintain displays in the waiting area/rooms
- Copy and print resources for colleagues
- Update electronic resources like PowerPoint slides
- Attend occasional community wellbeing events to promote our service
- Support with any physical, emotional or mental health needs
- Needle Syringe programme
- Recovery and detox programmes
- One to one and group therapy
- Social activities
- Education, training and employment opportunities
Volunteers can commit up to 15 hours per week, with suggested hours of 9am - 1pm and 1pm - 5pm (Monday to Thursday), and 9am - 4:30pm on Friday.
