We are seeking an experienced Well Intervention Specialist to join our team at Strategic Resources European Recruitment Consultants Ltd. As a key member of our Drilling and Wells team, you will play a critical role in optimizing well intervention operations and ensuring that designs and programs are fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Company's platform and subsea operated well interventions across all Company assets, ensuring optimal safety, technical, and commercial performance.
- Optimize safe working practices in the development of operational programs in compliance with Company Rules.
- Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, or HAZIDs when required.
- Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards.
- Provide engineering and technical solutions to well intervention challenges by positively participating in multi-disciplinary teams in well planning preparation, peer reviews, risk assessment, and execution of operations in a timely manner.
- Prepare well intervention designs/programs/end-of-well reports and coordinate other specialist inputs.
- Undertake technical studies and apply technical skills with innovative thinking to obtain positive outcomes: propose changes and/or innovations with properly identified risks and expected benefits.
- Interface appropriately with Assets and other Drilling/Wells entities to ensure Well Intervention requests are promptly and accurately prepared.
- Active participation in performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
- Work with Superintendents to ensure that all services are planned and performed in a safe manner, to the required standard using good oilfield practice.
- Develop estimated cost and duration for interventions or elements of specific operations. Follow the status of WTI contracts and WTI expenditures.
- Initiate and prepare CFTs with concerned personnel when required.
- Perform visits and audits of service companies, with a focus on contractor equipment and Company-owned equipment stored by the service companies.
- Follow up and review lessons learned.
- Actively pursue new technology.
- Perform offshore visits as required to support offshore operations.
- Education to degree level or similar in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years directly relevant experience in the oil industry.
- Knowledge in Well Stimulation techniques, including Frac design and execution is desirable.
- Practical knowledge in Production, Geosciences, SHEI&S, finance, and Integrity aspects of the business is required.
- Organizational skills to prioritize and manage a heavy workload in a rapidly changing environment.
- Good computer skills; familiarity with Office 365 applications would be an advantage, e.g., MS Planner.
- Current certification in UK Offshore Survival, MIST, and hold a current OGUK Medical Certificate.
- Possess IWCF Level 4 certificate.
