About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Brighton. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting a varied client portfolio, working closely with the Senior Management team to ensure budgets, deadlines, and clients' expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and prepare management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Support Senior Managers and Directors with ad-hoc work projects, leveraging your expertise to drive results
  • Oversee client workflow and internal management of resources, optimizing efficiency and productivity
  • Supervise junior staff, reviewing work and supporting their professional development to ensure they meet the highest standards
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, responding to queries promptly and effectively
  • Identify new processes and ways to increase efficiency across the department, driving continuous improvement
  • Research and interpret changes to taxation and accounting regulations, ensuring compliance and staying up-to-date with industry developments
  • Champion your own professional development, enthusiastically undertaking training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements
  • ACCA / ACA qualified, part-qualified, or studying
  • A proven track record of managing a client portfolio within practice
  • Strong working knowledge of software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Excellent financial modeling and data interpretation skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
