About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable teaching assistant to support the Year 1 and Year 2 classes in a single-form entry primary school in Runcorn. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to aid in general classroom and behaviour management, ensuring a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour
  • Hold intervention and booster sessions on a 1:1 and small group basis across all KS1 classes
  • Deliver phonics sessions to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Work with the class teacher to identify and support students with additional needs
Requirements
  • Full "Right to Work" in the UK
  • Minimum of 40 days referenceable experience working with primary year groups in the last 2 years
  • Experience delivering intervention and booster sessions
  • Experience delivering phonics sessions
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning (advantageous)
