Job Overview

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Explosive Ordnance Management Specialist to join our team in the UK. As an expert in munitions management, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling, storage, and transportation of explosive materials.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all aspects of munitions management are carried out in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt, storage, inspection, testing, transportation, and maintenance of explosive ordnance and related equipment.
  • Ensure that all munitions-related activities are conducted in accordance with established quality processes and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of munitions material handling equipment to ensure that it is in good working order.
  • Develop and implement plans to maintain and improve munitions management processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of munitions management activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on munitions management procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of munitions-related activities and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training, licenses, or certificates preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a related field of munitions management.
  • Ability to build a team and maintain schedules and certification requirements.
  • Forklift experience may be required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the UK and obtain/maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).

Benefits

Amentum offers a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
