Role Overview

Castles Education LLP is seeking a Science Technician to join our team. This role involves supporting teachers with learning activities, maintaining equipment, and supervising pupils outside the classroom. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our pupils with SEMH / SEN needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers with learning activities, ensuring the health and safety of children.
  • Maintain everyday equipment, checking for quality and safety.
  • Supervise pupils outside the classroom, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Provide classroom support to children with special educational needs.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEMH / SEN needs.
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior using varied strategies and a Trauma Informed Approach.
  • Capacity to identify existing and potential barriers to students' learning and help them overcome these challenges.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and develop skills in this sector.
