About the Role

Safran Landing Systems is a leading manufacturer of aircraft landing and braking systems, committed to contributing to safer and more sustainable aviation. We are seeking a skilled Health, Safety and Environment Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the HS&E Team in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, deputizing for others as needed.
  • Act as an advisor and support for the wider workforce on HS&E issues, promoting good practices through actions.
  • Collaborate with managers and senior leaders to drive HS&E compliance.
  • Undertake analysis of surface and treated water samples to verify batch release and determine permit compliance.
  • Coordinate risk assessment systems and records, including General Risk, COSHH, and Ergonomics.
  • Provide support and advice to employees and managers on Health and Safety and Environmental issues.
  • Support the collection of data and reporting of figures to the regulator, verifying COMAH and environmental permit compliance.
  • Assess noise, vibration, and air quality across the site.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement of HS&E management systems.
  • Support the Environmental Advisor with aspect and impact assessments.
  • Investigate accidents and spills on site, identifying and implementing corrective actions.
  • Undertake audits of the HS&E management systems, identifying improvements and progressing actions.
  • Provide reports and dashboards to support continuous monitoring and improvement processes.
  • Provide HS&E input to site projects.

Requirements

  • Able to work independently and flexibly, within pre-determined guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion and sensitivity while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to work effectively at all levels.
  • Experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment with knowledge of Health & Safety and/or Environmental regulation.
  • Computer literate and with good administrative ability.
  • Occasional on-call weekend required.
