About the Position

This position is a great opportunity to join the U.S. Air Forces, Europe team in a dynamic role that involves cooking a wide variety of simple food tasks. The purpose of this position is to perform a range of tasks in the kitchen, including preparing and cooking food items, following recipes, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and presentation, and will be able to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. They will also be able to follow oral and written instructions, and will have basic math skills.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this position include:
  • Preparing and cooking a wide variety of simple food items, including pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers, and fresh or canned vegetables.
  • Preparing hot cereals, broiled meats, concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies, and making cold sandwich fillings.
  • Preparing convenience items such as frozen hash browns, fish fillets, and chicken nuggets.
  • Washing and cleaning kitchen equipment, and performing other related duties as assigned.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
  • Experience in food preparation and presentation.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Physical ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.


Working Conditions

This position is located at the Galaxy Club, RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom. The working conditions are typical of a kitchen environment, with a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
