Psychology Support Specialist

Job Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated psychology graduate to join our team as a teaching assistant in an Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a psychology graduate to gain practical experience in education, develop key skills, and make a lasting impact on the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual and group support to students with special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, or mental health challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver lessons and support students in understanding and engaging with the content.
- Foster positive self-esteem, resilience, and a growth mindset in students, acting as a mentor and role model.
- Monitor student progress, working with teachers and SEN staff to tailor support strategies.
- Promote and model positive behavior, helping students to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
- Degree in psychology or a closely related field.
- Passion for education and supporting young people.
- Flexibility, resourcefulness, and willingness to take initiative in a fast-paced school environment.
- Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Competitive weekly pay rate: £415-£500.
- Full-time, term-time only contract until the end of the academic year.
