About The Medical Group

We are a large, friendly team who strive to balance the needs of primary care with professional interests. Our practice is a well-established training practice with a list size of 26,500.

Our Team

We have 9 partners, 2 of whom were registrars with us, and 2 salaried GPs, 1 of whom was a registrar with us. We offer excellent nursing, pharmacist, and administration support, as well as a SystmOne computer system.

Job Responsibilities

  • Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organization.
  • Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
  • Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • In consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols, develop care plans for health.
  • Provide counseling and health education.
  • Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate.
  • Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
  • In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Person Specification

  • Qualifications
    • Full GMC Registration.
    • Completion of GP Vocational Training Scheme/JCTGP Certificate.
    • Evidence of entry to the Performers List.
  • Skills
    • Good communication skills.
    • Good consultation skills.
    • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
