About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Payroll Accounting Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Controllers group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the firm meets its financial control and reporting obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyse and process multiple UK & global payrolls in line with local and regional tax, payroll and wage reporting rules within monthly vendor and processing timelines
  2. Detailed calculation of wages and applicable deductions based on employee contract and internal GS compensation rules
  3. Input/update of key payroll & compensation data into PeopleSoft 9
  4. Process detailed PAYE and compensation calculations per UK HMRC & EMEA PAYE rules
  5. Ability to co-ordinate and oversee up to 6 global payrolls
  6. Handle enquiries on monthly pay, deductions, and tax from employees, external vendors and tax authorities
  7. Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in compensation and variance records
  8. Handle confidential and highly sensitive personal information
  9. Complete compensation controls for managerial review
  10. Determine organisation's tax obligations by calculating national and council taxes as well as National Insurance and other social security contributions
  11. Liaise with financial accounting team responsible for booking the compensation to the Firm's ledger
Requirements
  1. Excellent UK/EMEA payroll skills (3 years minimum), preferably within Zellis ResourceLink or similar payroll package
  2. Experience gained within a large complex organisation, managing financial data and spreadsheets
  3. System literate with experience manipulating MS office applications and Web/Java based systems (such as PeopleSoft 9.0)
  4. This is an extremely busy role which requires the ability to handle a heavy workload and manage multiple deadlines
  5. The successful candidate will need to take the initiative and be capable of working with minimal supervision
