\About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Payroll Specialist in Maidstone, Kent. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage payroll processes for clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
\Responsibilities:
- \\
- Manage an allocated portfolio of payroll clients, working within a team to meet deadlines and ensure the accurate and efficient running of monthly, weekly, 2 weekly and 4 weekly pay runs.\\
- Liaise with clients via telephone and email, providing advice and guidance on all matters relating to payroll.\\
- Remain competent with HMRC guidance and updates and where necessary liaise with HRMC on behalf of clients.\\
- Process BACs payments and upload monthly pension contributions via online provider portals.\\
- Support other team members during periods of absence and maintain the level of skills and competencies required to carry out the role.\\
Requirements:
- \\
- At least 5 years of experience in payroll, preferably in a bureau environment.\\
- Accurate numeracy is essential, with the ability to calculate SMP or SSP manually.\\
- Robust payroll system experience, with Sage Payroll being desirable.\\
- A CIPP qualification is advantageous but not essential, with hands-on experience and knowledge valued equally.\\
- A full UK driving license is also required.\\
