Key Responsibilities:
  • Hold pre-audit meetings with clients to establish the events that have impacted the business and areas needing particular attention.
  • Ensure a detailed audit or accounts planning memorandum is completed by the senior, outlining the information needed to approach the audit work efficiently.
  • Brief audit or accounts staff on the client and its business, ensuring the most cost-effective approach is clearly communicated.
  • Review all work received, ensuring any issues are referred back to the audit staff for completion before outstanding issues are drawn to the attention of the Partner.
  • Ensure files are complete and audit or accounts work is sufficient for the Partner to form an opinion on the accounts, balancing cost and benefit.
  • Draft management letters, finalize accounts, and letters of engagement.
  • Allocate trainees a variety of jobs to provide a broad range of training and maximize their experience.
  • Complete 6-month appraisals and sign off training records for allocated staff members.
