Setting-Out Engineers Job Description

ECC Group is seeking experienced Setting-Out Engineers to join their team.

Location: London, England, UK

About the Role:

We are looking for skilled Setting-Out Engineers to work on a diverse range of projects. As a Setting-Out Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out coordinates from engineers' drawings, site surveys, and as-built drawings. You will also check plans, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and liaise with clients, team members, and sub-contractors as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Setting out coordinates from engineers' drawings, site surveys, and as-built drawings
  2. Checking plans, drawings, and specifications for accuracy
  3. Liaising with clients, team members, and sub-contractors as necessary
  4. Developing and maintaining professional working relationships with all personnel
  5. Ensuring all works are carried out to the highest quality standards
  6. Maintaining site records

Requirements:

  1. Civil Engineering degree or related discipline
  2. Preferably have a minimum of 2 years' experience in setting out or as site engineer
  3. Highly motivated with excellent communication and organisation skills
  4. Proficient in the use of GPS, robotic total station, and levelling equipment is preferred, and exposure to 3D laser scanning is advantageous
  5. Working knowledge of Autocad, Revit, Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
  6. Willingness to learn new technologies
