Job Title: Social Services Program Manager

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Activation Supervisor to join our team at the Mon Sheong Foundation. As a key member of our social services program, you will be responsible for managing the effective delivery of social services to residents in our care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, implement, and monitor recreation and leisure services to meet the diverse needs and interests of residents.
  • Collaborate with staff, residents, and families to ensure accurate documentation of recreation and leisure services.
  • Manage departmental resources, including human, financial, and material resources.
  • Support and provide direction to Resident Council and Family Counsel, as required.
  • Maintain high standards of quality improvement and risk management.
  • Co-ordinate recreation services with other internal and external agencies.
  • Direct faith groups' programs of support to residents by recruiting visiting clergy and volunteers.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in a health care setting.
  • Experience working with seniors or similar programs is an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in oral and written English, with the ability to speak Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.
  • Ability to work well with people in large and small groups.
  • Computer proficiency, with knowledge of PointClickCare and Activity Pro an asset.
  • CPR certification.
