Clinical Consultant in Reproductive Health

This role requires an experienced Operating Surgeon to provide safe and effective Surgical Abortion pathways to our patients.
The successful candidate will have a pro-active and enthusiastic approach, working as part of a wider team to ensure high standards of clinical care and efficiency.
Main Duties:
- Carry out medical assessments face-to-face or remotely for abortion provision, contraceptive advice, and provision of LARCs.
- Provide assessments for post-abortion problems and work with the pre-operative team to advise on medical or other conditions affecting patient management.
- Advise patients on complication rates and potential risks associated with treatments as required.
- Ensure patients are fully aware of all important issues relating to treatment and aftercare.
- Complete statutory documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least three years' experience in gynaecology or reproductive and sexual health care.
- Experience of independent practice for abortion procedures relevant to the post applied for, or willingness to be trained in-house.
- GMC full registration with no restrictions to work in the UK.
- Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG).
