Job Summary:

Hatched Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading engineering firm to hire several Mechanical Pipefitters/Welders on a permanent basis. The company specializes in comprehensive pipework and equipment solutions for liquid, pneumatic, and gas systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vessels and equipment for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance for mechanical issues, including breakdowns.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of maintenance programs and procedures across the site.
  • Assist in managing and coordinating spare parts to optimize stock levels related to pipefitting and welding operations.
  • Rigorously adhere to safe work systems and maintenance protocols.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment in all assigned areas.
  • Promptly report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Offer mentorship, guidance, and training to junior team members.

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in pipe fitting, welding, or fabrication, with a focus on hygienic stainless steel dairy tube welding, especially within the brewing industry.
  • Expertise in TIG welding, with the ability to work on thin-wall stainless steel dairy tubes and SS schedule tubing.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting pipework schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Experienced in planning pipe and service routes that are both hygienic and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Confined space certification and MEWP/FLT experience are advantageous.
  • Certified to BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017, with experience in various welding processes, including arc and TIG welding.
  • Skilled in conducting visual weld inspections according to ISO 17637.
  • Mechanical fitting experience is a plus.
